Questions

Here we hope to answer any questions you have about us and what we do.

Does every house have a history?

We are sure our customers will appreciate that not all houses will be eligible for a home history. Houses that were built post-1920's often fall into this category. In newer houses the records of it’s history are simply not available yet. At Hawthron we do what we can, but sometimes are simply too limited.

Even in the oldest of our house histories, the research will stop at around 1950, this is to preserve the privacy of families that may have lived there after this date.

How do I begin?

All that is needed for Hawthorn to create a Home History is an address.

Simply send us an email with a brief outline of what you are looking for.

3

How long does it take?

3-4 weeks.

(We are a small team!)

What can I order?

We are able to produce prints in almost any size (within reason). Often there can be a lot of text information and so better sizes (A3 or A2) work better.

We are very happy to offer our prints and books in a variety of styles. Each one is custom made. You can decide upon what would suit your home and simply drop us a few descriptive lines when ordering your product.
